Reiki and its Origins [lire en Français]
Thought to have originated in Tibet, Reiki was brought to prominence by Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese businessman versed in Buddhism and Tibetan literature. Dr Usui discovered the Reiki natural healing method while he was meditating on Mount Kurama, and subsequently founded the Usui Reiki Centre of Natural Healing in Japan.
Reiki is a natural and effective method of healing that can be used on ourselves, on others and also at a distance. Especially useful for families living abroad as you will be able to send healing energy to your friends and relatives in other countries. Reiki can be practised by anyone. Reiki treatments create many beneficial results such as the alleviation of stress, deep relaxation, pain relief, faster healing, centeredness, balance, releasing emotions and detoxing.
Reiki Courses at Energy Centre
Reiki Courses at Energy Centre are taught by Dorna Wilson-Revie, a Reiki and Karuna Reiki Master, who has been practicing and teaching Reiki for over 15 years. As well as personal reiki consultations, Energy Centre offers the following Reiki diploma courses:
Reiki Level 1
Level 1 is primarily for use on oneself. You will be attuned to the Usui Reiki Energy. You will learn how to give (and will also receive) a full Reiki treatment, self treatment, and a quick treatment. You will also learn the basics of energy management, healing vibrations, the chakra system, the aura and the power of thought.
Ancient healing for the modern world
Reiki Level 2
You will be attuned to the second level of reiki and learn the healing symbols specific to it. You will also receive a grounding attunement to keep your feet on the ground and your energy well-balanced. You will learn about and experience healing at a distance, cleansing and energizing rooms, preparing meetings and exams etc. as well as using reiki to manifest ideas.
Reiki Level 3: Master Practitioner Level
You will be attuned to the third level of reiki and learn the Master Usui healing symbol. You will learn to create your own crystal healing and manifestation grid, perform psychic surgery as well as cleanse and heal auras.
This is a powerful level of energy management and requires time and preparation of the first two levels before embarking on this journey.
Reiki Level 4: Reiki Master - Teaching Level
The highest level of Reiki – the teaching level. You will be initiated into this level and will learn the teaching symbols as well as revising all the other levels and symbols. We will also revise and expand working with aura’s, chakra balancing, scanning and psychic surgery. You will practice and experience how to give attunements and we will discuss the giving of Reiki seminars and setting up a Reiki Practise.
Karuna Reiki®
The word Karuna comes from Sanskrit and means compassionate action. Karuna Reiki® is a very high vibration which is very powerful and far reaching. By being attuned to the Karuna Reiki® we speed up our own healing and thus speed up the healing of our planet. Karuna Reiki® works on past traumas, karma, our shadow side, relationships and provokes deep emotional healing.
Karuna Reiki® was developed by William Lee Rand. The symbols were channeled by several Reiki Masters, notably Marcy Miller, Kellie-Ray Marine, Pat Courtney, Catherine Milis Ballamont and Marla Abraham.
Since the vibrations are so high, it is necessary to have first completed Usui Reiki Level 3 (Master Practitioner Level), before being attuned to the Karuna Reiki® 1& 2, and to have completed Usui Reiki Level 4 (Reiki Master), before being attuned to the Karuna Reiki® Master.
Karuna Reiki® level 1 (pre-requisite - Usui Reiki Level 3) - During this workshop the student will learn about the Karuna Reiki® system of natural healing. They will be attuned to the Karuna Reiki® level 1, receive 4 of the symbols and will also have the opportunity to experience and give Karuna Reiki® sessions. There will be a written exam at the end of the day.
Karuna Reiki® level 2 - In this workshop the student will be attuned to Karuna Reiki® level 2, learn about and use the 4 symbols. There will be lots of experience of Karuna Reiki® and also with aura work. A written exam will be given at the end of the day.
Karuna Reiki® Masters
(For people with Karuna Reiki® Levels 1 & 2 + Usui Reiki Master Certificate - Level 4)
The student will be attuned to the 3rd level of Karuna Reiki®, will learn the 4 Master symbols and will learn how to give attunements. They will also learn Karuna Reiki® chanting and toning. A written exam will be given at the end of the day.
